Muramasa: The Demon Blade. Translations are shorter than the original.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
I saw an opinion that Japanese voice sounds longer than english text. At first I thought it's because difference of languages. But I noticed translations actually omitted some sentences.

Two exmaples.

English text
"How dare you appear so brashly before us! You dirty, ungrateful mutt!"
Japanese text (my translation)
"How dare you appear so brashly before us! Even mutts don't forget the obligation if they are fed for three days. You are less than a mutt!"

English text
"For half a year, you drew near to Lady Torahime disguised as a castle servant."
Japanese text
"You can't deceive us. You cheated our princess as a castle servant for half a year."

I don't say their translation is crap. I'm no purist and nobody can change one language to other languages perfectly. Even if it's possible, it doesn't mean we can enjoy them.
But their omission makes me wonder.
I guess one reason is the space of the message window.
It may be too small for a long sentence.

Another reason is.....Umm...
I'm not gonna be rude but I guess it's because Americans hate long subtitles.
Please forgive me! But I can't imagine other reasons besides these two.
Were translaters too lazy?

For present, I didn't find critical mistakes in this game.
If anything I point out, they're calling Fushimi (a famous place in Kyoto) "Bukumi"in English text.
